Having dispensed of huge clubs and even huger festivals alike, SOSUEME DJs are raiding the vaults and looking for their next leg-shaking target. So far they’ve brought the action to major events like Parklife, Field Day, Good Vibrations, Future Music, NYE on Sydney Harbour and Playground Weekender, as well as being asked back to Splendour In The Grass several years running. Like an Ultimate Fighting Bout for your ears, there are no rules at a SOSUEME DJ show.
Despite countless accolades, awards, records, and firsts have been the hallmark of Kid Kenobi’s illustrious 20-year long DJing career (including being named Australia’s favourite DJ for a record number 3 years from 2003 – 2005, receiving an award for his first remix ever [of Green Velvet’s “La La Land’], an ARIA nomination for ‘The Bump’ with Hook N Sling, being the first DJ ever to have a CD series named after him by Ministry of Sound, Kid Kenobi shows no sign of slowing down!
As one of the most long serving, respected and influential DJ’s in Australia with 28yrs experience under the (not so serious) moniker – Groove Terminator, Simon started out playing punk, hiphop and electro on his high school public radio show in the early 80’s as a teenager then fell instantly in love with the early acid and house sounds coming out of Chicago.
Held in the highest esteem by his peers and the masses, Ember is without question one of Australia’s most in demand genre hopping beatsmiths. Crossing the country on a weekly basis, leaving jaws dropped upon sweat drenched dance floors; this star student of the Sydney club scene has definitely earned his stripes. Sharing stages with the worlds dance music elite, he has held his own at Stereosonic, Field Day, Splendour In The Grass, Shore Thing, Big Day Out, Parklife and Future Music Festival amongst other iconic party spots.
